Soum joined AIRINC in 2023 as a research analyst intern and returned the following year as a full-time researcher. His primary responsibilities involve gathering and analyzing comprehensive cost-of-living data, as well as carrying out on-site and remote housing surveys across various international locations. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics and Data Analytics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Growing up in both Mumbai and Hong Kong, Soum is fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali, while working on both his Cantonese and Mandarin. While being intrigued in areas such as machine learning, urban policy, and wellbeing, Soum likes to take part in powerlifting, sustainable fashion, and underground music cultures.
