What Is AIRINC’s Mobility Outlook Survey and Why Should You Participate Before It Closes?

Written by Brooke Caligan | Jun 15, 2026 @ 04:51 PM

AIRINC’s 2026 Mobility Outlook Survey is closing in two weeks, and I hope you'll take a few minutes to participate before it does.

The Mobility Outlook Survey is AIRINC’s annual check-in on what global mobility, HR, and talent teams are experiencing today and where they see things heading over the next year. The results help build a broader picture of mobility activity, program evolution, emerging priorities, and challenges across the market.

As AIRINC’s benchmark lead, I spend a lot of time thinking about what makes benchmarking useful. Strong benchmarking is not just about collecting data. It is about creating a clear, practical picture of what organizations are experiencing, how practices are changing, and where mobility teams may be heading next.

That is why the Mobility Outlook Survey is one of the AIRINC projects I always look forward to. It helps connect individual company experiences into a broader view of where mobility is headed.

What is the history of AIRINC’s Mobility Outlook Survey and what does this year’s survey cover?

Over the years, the Mobility Outlook Survey has become an important part of how AIRINC captures what’s important to global mobility programs.

We’ve been running the survey for over 15 years. The survey topics have evolved as mobility has evolved – there was no mention of AI in the 2010 MOS! We’ve covered everything from policy usage, employee experience and program administration to the impact of current events and more.

This year’s version is a short check-in on mobility activity, policy trends, flexibility, and key priorities for the year ahead.

The value of the survey comes from the range of perspectives we receive. We want to hear from organizations of different sizes, industries, regions, and program types. Input from all types of programs is important in building a complete view of the market.

How can benchmarking support mobility program decisions?

Benchmarking helps mobility teams put their own experiences into context. Most organizations have a good understanding of what is happening within their programs, but they also want to know how their priorities, challenges, and plans compare with those of their peers.

The results can help sense-check priorities, support internal conversations, and highlight where policies, technology plans, or mobility strategy may be aligned with, or different from, the broader market.

Benchmarking can also be a powerful tool for communicating the value of mobility internally. I recently explored this topic in AIRINC’s Bite-Sized Advice video on marketing your mobility program, and benchmarking data can help teams support their story with objective market insight.

Beyond individual organizations, the findings contribute to broader industry conversations. AIRINC regularly shares insights from our benchmarking work through events, webinars, and client discussions, helping the mobility community understand emerging trends and where the market may be heading next.

When will the Mobility Outlook Survey results be available and how do I participate?

The results of AIRINC’s 2026 Mobility Outlook Survey will be published this summer.

We encourage you to participate because every response helps make the final benchmark results stronger, more representative, and more useful. The questions should only take a few minutes to complete.

Participants will receive a priority copy of the report when it is available. Your perspective will help us create a richer, more useful view of where global mobility is headed. After all, the best benchmarks are shaped by the people doing the work. Take the 2026 Mobility Outlook Survey.
