It is quite different! This is the first city that I’ve surveyed that is primarily Dutch speaking, has prices in three currencies (SRD, USD, EUR), and has opposite traffic patterns from what I’m accustomed to coming from the United States.

The few taxis I did use tried to charge double or triple the amount on my return trip, and many insisted on stopping at various shops and vendor stalls to see if I would purchase anything.

Arriving in Tirana after Pristina, Kosovo, I was delighted to see that the weather was much warmer and sunnier.
