Discussing Key Trends in Global Mobility

Our colleagues in Europe were busy this autumn with a successful series of events in London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Munich, and Berlin. Depending on the location, we presented the results of AIRINC’s Long-Term Assignment Benchmark, going over some of the details and trends from the survey results; we discussed the shifts we are observing towards a more flexible workforce; and we explored an alternative approach to assignment housing and how to manage both costs and expectations.

We were joined by moveassist international in Copenhagen where they presented on the technology landscape and the opportunities that technology can bring to global mobility. International SOS presented in Amsterdam and London on the importance of business travellers’ mental health and its impact on organisational success with issues such as loss of productivity, absenteeism/presenteeism, and increased conflict and relationship strain.

We enjoyed getting to know our guests in between the sessions over breakfast, lunch, or kaffee und kuchen (coffee and cake). Our guests enjoyed the opportunity to meet and share the challenges they are currently facing in their programmes. Indeed, the group in Berlin has established a network group to maintain contact with each other and they plan to meet regularly.

Thank you to everyone who joined us; we hope to see you again soon at a future event! And a big thank you to our colleagues for all of your hard work in contributing to these successful events!
