AIRINC’s Mobility Trends Survey Is Back

Written by Andrea Downing | May 29, 2026 @ 01:44 PM

One of my favorite AIRINC projects is here: our Mobility Outlook Survey is now open!

And we want to hear from you.

As someone who works behind the scenes to help bring AIRINC’s insights to life, I always enjoy seeing this survey launch. As we always hear, global mobility is constantly changing. And the best way to understand where the function is headed is to hear directly from the people working in it every day. We are a little later in the year than usual for the launch, as we prioritised our Middle East benchmarks.

The 2026 Mobility Outlook Survey is designed to capture what mobility, HR, and talent teams are seeing in their organisations now, and what they expect to see next.

Why is AIRINC conducting a Mobility Outlook Survey?

Benchmarking is one of the most valuable ways for mobility teams to understand whether their programmes are keeping pace with the market. While every organisation has its own business needs, talent strategy, and employee population, broader trend data can help mobility professionals identify emerging practices, validate internal conversations, and prepare for future changes.

What global mobility trends does the survey explore?

This year’s Mobility Trends Survey looks at some of the biggest themes shaping mobility programmes today, including changes in mobility activity, policy evolution, flexibility and personalisation, the future role of Global Mobility, technology and automation, and the priorities mobility teams are focused on for the year ahead.

Rather than focusing on one narrow issue, the survey takes a broader look at how mobility policies are adapting to support both business needs and employee expectations.

The results will help show where companies are making changes, what challenges mobility teams are thinking about, and how the function may continue to evolve over the next few years.

Why is global mobility benchmarking important?

One of the reasons I love working on projects like this is that the results give mobility teams something practical to use.

Benchmarking can help organisations understand whether their mobility programmes are aligned with broader market trends. It can also support internal conversations with HR, talent, finance, leadership, and the business.

Every organisation is different, but seeing how peers are approaching similar challenges can be incredibly helpful. It can validate what you are already doing, highlight areas to explore, and spark new ideas for future design.

Who should participate?

If you are working in global mobility, we would love to hear from you.

You do not need to have a huge mobility programme or a perfectly defined policy to take part. Perspectives from organisations of different sizes, industries, regions, and programme types all help create a more complete picture of the market.

And I promise no marathon survey here! We’ve kept it manageable, and your input will help us build a stronger picture of global mobility trends. The survey results will be published this summer. And participants will receive a priority copy when the report is available, as our little thank-you.
