The AIRINC Singapore Roundtable took place earlier this month. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and anticipation for what promised to be an engaging and insightful discussion. This roundtable, like others organized by AIRINC in Singapore, aimed to bring together mobility leaders to foster networking opportunities and provide a platform for knowledge-sharing.

The event commenced with a delightful buffet lunch, allowing attendees and AIRINC representatives the chance to mingle and forge new connections. The atmosphere was vibrant as industry professionals from various backgrounds exchanged ideas and experiences. Energized by the positive energy in the room, the roundtable session officially began with an introduction of key insights from AIRINC's International Remote Work Survey. The findings struck a chord with most participants, as remote work continues to be a prominent topic of discussion.

In addition to the focus on international remote work, the group delved into an array of other pressing subjects. Attendees enthusiastically shared their questions, challenges, and best practices regarding successfully repatriating assignees, one-way moves, managing communication for short-term assignments, and relocation benefits. The prevalence of home-based approaches and other innovative strategies also sparked lively conversations, demonstrating the attendees' eagerness to explore new possibilities in global mobility.

One particularly intriguing topic that generated great interest was the integration of AI and automation in global mobility. The roundtable provided a valuable platform for professionals to exchange ideas and insights on how these emerging technologies could transform and streamline various aspects of their mobility programs. Furthermore, participants had the opportunity to discuss Singapore HR-related matters, including the Permanent Residence policy and the COMPASS framework, which added a local perspective to the conversations.

Both AIRINC and the attendees left the roundtable session feeling invigorated and enlightened. The event was hailed as a resounding success, thanks to the engaging discussions, valuable networking opportunities, and the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Already, participants are eagerly anticipating the next roundtable session, scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2024.
