How does this compare to other cities you have surveyed? What surprised you most?

Port Vila, Vanuatu’s capital city, is one of the more remote cities I’ve surveyed. It lies on the southeastern side of the Island of Efate, the third largest yet most populous island in Vanuatu. Port Vila is approximately three hours by flight northeast of Brisbane, Australia. The city itself has a population of approximately 44,000. As a survey city, Port Vila was small and enjoyable, with a friendly, laid-back population.

News From the Road: Ljubliana, Slovenia

How does Ljubljana compare to other cities you have surveyed? What surprised you most?:

Ljubljana, Slovenia is more picturesque and exciting to look at than most of the other cities I have surveyed. From the moment I left the airport I could see mountains, cottages, and farmlands that resembled those of story books and fairy tales.

News from the Road: Stanley, Falkland Islands

How does this city compare to other cities you have surveyed? What surprised you the most?:

Stanley is unique in a lot of ways. It is the capital of the Falkland Islands and a distinctively independent place with a decidedly British feel. I was most surprised by the diversity and friendliness of the local population, the limited number of outlets, and the narrow options for food in restaurants.
